What forecasters said that day

The local office's own words before this high wind warning went out, as it sent them, from the Iowa Environmental Mesonet's archive of National Weather Service text.

NWS Morristown, TN wrote its last area forecast discussion before this high wind warning went out at Apr 11, 2:03 PM EDT, 1 hour 2 minutes earlier.

Area forecast discussion, Apr 11, 2:03 PM EDT, 1 hour 2 minutes before
AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION...UPDATED
National Weather Service Morristown TN
203 PM EDT Sat Apr 11 2020

.UPDATE...
FOR 18Z AVIATION.

&&

.DISCUSSION...

Nothing much to talk about with the morning update. Main purpose
was to update the zones and NPW to remove the wording for the
frost advisory/warnings. Otherwise the forecast for today is on
track so far and no changes appear necessary.

Should be a nice day today, with mostly sunny skies highs in hte
low 60s up north to upper 60s in the southern valley.

CD

&&

.AVIATION...
18Z TAF DISCUSSION.

VFR flight categories will prevail through the night and into the
morning hours on Sunday. A northward advancing warm front will
bring showers into KCHA by around 12z or so, with -SHRA expected
at KTYS and KTRI by 15z and 17z-18z respectively. Thunder will be
a possibility after sunrise, but confidence in how widespread this
will be is low enough to preclude mention in the TAFs at this
time. Additionally, a strong south to southeasterly flow at 4-5k
ft AGL may introduce some LLWS towards the tail end of the 18z TAF
period but better chances for that will exist after 18z Sun so
will leave out at this time.
