Life threatening rip currents are also possible. * WHERE...Southern Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, Coastal Volusia and Northern Brevard Counties. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surf conditions. The rough surf can knock you down and make you more susceptible to being caught in the seaward pull of a rip current. While rip currents will be present all day, the threat will be highest surrounding the low tide cycle through 11 AM this morning and again from 5 PM this afternoon through this evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...To reduce your risk of becoming caught in the seaward pull of a rip current, swim only within sight of a lifeguard, and never swim alone. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. && $$
