These winds will begin affecting Lake County Saturday evening, then begin expanding north across northeast Mendocino, Trinity, and southeast Humboldt County Monday morning. Winds will veer to the Northeast and East Sunday, with increasingly low humidity through Sunday night. The combination of locally gusty ridgetop winds, low humidity, and dry fuels may result in critical fire weather conditions. Winds will ease on Monday, but hot and dry conditions will persist through midweek.
