* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Warning, one to two feet of
inundation above ground level expected along shorelines and
tidal waterways (8.3 to 8.5 feet Mean Lower Low Water at
Charleston). For the Coastal Flood Watch, one to two feet of
inundation above ground level possible along shorelines and
tidal waterways (8.5 to 8.7 feet Mean Lower Low Water at
Charleston). For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip
currents expected.
* WHERE...Beaufort, Coastal Colleton and Charleston Counties.
* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Warning, from 8 AM this morning
to 1 PM EDT this afternoon. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from
this evening through late tonight. For the High Rip Current
Risk, from 8 AM EDT this morning through Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...Significant saltwater inundation will render numerous
roads impassable, especially in Downtown Charleston. Properties
may also flood. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers
away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide will occur around 10:07 AM today
and 10:23 PM tonight at Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be
possible 2 to 3 hours before and after high tide.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
water of unknown depth.
Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.

Fort Pulaski). For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip
currents expected.

Coastal Bryan, Coastal Chatham, Coastal Liberty and Coastal

* WHERE...Coastal southeast South Carolina including downtown

* IMPACTS...This could result in some roads becoming impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide will occur around 12:15 to 12:30
AM tonight at Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be possible
