The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southwestern Baca County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 715 PM MDT.

* At 645 PM MDT, a confirmed tornado was located 16 miles north of
  Kenton, or 27 miles southwest of Springfield, and is nearly
  stationary.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado and golf ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  southwestern Baca County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM MDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN BACA COUNTY...
    
At 653 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 15 miles south of Pritchett, or 25 miles southwest of
Springfield, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of 
southwestern Baca County, and it has a history of producing a 
tornado.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN BACA COUNTY WILL EXPIRE AT
715 PM MDT...
                
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However gusty
winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
southwest Baca County.
