The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Choctaw County in southwestern Alabama... 
  Northwestern Clarke County in southwestern Alabama...

* Until 800 PM CST Wednesday.

* At 153 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated numerous showers and 
  thunderstorms training across southeast Choctaw County and 
  northwest Clarke County. 2 to 4 inches of rain has fallen and 
  another 1 to 3 inches is likely. Flash flooding is expected to 
  begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Silas...Thornton Springs...Tallahatta Springs...and Coffeeville. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CST FOR
SOUTH CENTRAL CHOCTAW AND NORTHWESTERN CLARKE COUNTIES...

At 328 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Four to seven inches of rain have 
fallen across the warned area. Flash flooding is already in progress 
and water is still rising.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Silas and Coffeeville. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
