area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding
will continue across the area. The Park Service reported that Brush
Creek was out of its banks and flowing over Scenic valley Road
several inches deep. Watch for flooding problems along Cub Creek
near Wilkesboro.

Brush Creek was out of its banks and flowing over Scenic valley Road
several inches deep. Watch for flooding problems along Cub Creek
near Wilkesboro. Law Enforcement reported several streets closed in
Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro due to water flowing over the roads
including College Street and River Street.

area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flooding was
reported near Galax. Chestnut creek at Galax was in flood at 8 feet
and rising this evening. Brush Creek was out of its banks and
flowing over Scenic valley Road several inches deep. Watch for
flooding problems along Cub Creek near Wilkesboro. Law Enforcement
reported several streets closed in Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro
due to water flowing over the roads including College Street and
River Street.
