The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  South central Las Animas County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 745 PM MDT.
    
* At 716 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Model, or 19 miles northeast of Trinidad, moving
  southeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  south central Las Animas County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM MDT FOR SOUTH
CENTRAL LAS ANIMAS COUNTY...
    
At 730 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Model, or 22 miles northeast of Trinidad, moving
southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
south central Las Animas County.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTH CENTRAL LAS ANIMAS COUNTY WILL
EXPIRE AT 745 PM MDT...
                
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However large 
hail is still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
southeastern Colorado.
