...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM WEDNESDAY TO 7 AM EDT
THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Small
Craft Advisory, which is in effect from 7 AM Wednesday to 7 AM
EDT Thursday.

* Location...Delaware Bay.

* Winds...South 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt becoming west
  by Wednesday afternoon. Isolated gusts to gale force may occur,
  especially on lower portions of the bay, Wednesday afternoon 
  and evening.

* Seas...1 to 3 feet.

* Timing...Winds will increase rapidly late tonight, reaching
  advisory criteria by Wednesday morning. A cold front will move
  through during the day, with winds becoming westerly thereafter.
  Winds should begin to diminish late Wednesday night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Gale
Watch, which is in effect from Wednesday morning through Thursday
morning.

* Location...The Atlantic coastal waters of New Jersey and
  Delaware.

* Winds...South 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt becoming west
  Wednesday afternoon.

* Seas...5 to 8 feet.

* Timing...Winds and seas will increase rapidly tonight, reaching
  advisory criteria from south to north after midnight. Gale force
  gusts should occur after daybreak. A cold front will move
  through Wednesday, switching the winds to the west. Winds 
  should peak near and for a time after frontal passage Wednesday 
  afternoon and evening before diminishing Thursday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to
47 knots has significantly increased...but the specific timing
and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide
additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider
altering their plans.

* Winds...West 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt.

* Seas...2 to 4 feet.

* Timing...Winds will increase rapidly late tonight, reaching Gale
  Warning criteria by late Wednesday morning. A cold front will 
  move through during the day, with winds becoming westerly 
  thereafter. Winds should begin to diminish Wednesday night.

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
