* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 453 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
  begin shortly in the areas of heaviest rain.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
  New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Edison, East Brunswick, Carteret,
  Colonia, Woodbridge, Metuchen, Iselin, Sewaren, Port Reading, Fords
  and Avenel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM EDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN MIDDLESEX COUNTY...

At 742 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Mesonet sites report 3 to 5 inches of 
rain has fallen in the Woodbridge and Carteret areas. Flash flooding 
is occurring and expected to continue.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Edison, East Brunswick, Carteret,
Colonia, Woodbridge, Metuchen, Iselin, Sewaren, Port Reading, Fords
and Avenel.
