The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Mobile County in southwestern Alabama...
* Until 300 AM CDT Wednesday.
* At 859 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Additional rainfall amounts of three to five are possible in the
warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 300 AM CDT FOR
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MOBILE COUNTY...
At 208 AM CDT, some flash flooding is still ongoing across the
warned area, with law enforcement reporting road closures in the
city of Mobile and some locations closer to the coast. Up to three
inches of rain have fallen, with isolated higher amounts up to 5
inches. However, the heavy rain has ended and flood waters should
begin receding over the next hour. Thus, the warning will be allowed
to expire at 300 AM CDT.
