* At 822 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Two to four inches of rain have
fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Additional rainfall amounts of three to six inches are possible in
the warned area over the next six hours.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

COUNTIES...
At 1031 PM CDT, law enforcement reported numerous roads flooded and
closed across the warned area. As much as six inches of rain has
fallen across the warned area over the past few hours. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
Additional rainfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches are possible during the
overnight hours as convective bands continue to train over the
warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* Until 815 AM CDT Wednesday.
* At 129 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain falling across the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing and law enforcement has reported numerous roads closed due
to flooding. Radar and observations indicate widespread amounts of
up to 6 inches have already fallen. A band of heavy rain
associated with Tropical Storm Gordon will continue to bring heavy
rain to the warned area through the remainder of tonight and
Wednesday morning. This will only act to exacerbate ongoing
flooding.
Additional rainfall of 4 to 6 inches is possible in the warned area,
particularly beneath the ongoing, persistent tropical rain band.
