The Gale Watch is no longer in effect. * WINDS...Southwest to west winds of 25 to 35 knots with frequent gusts of 35 to 40 knots are expected across the Keys coastal waters beginning during the afternoon and evening, then continuing through Friday and into Friday night. These winds will occur behind a strong cold front which will blast through the coastal waters during the afternoon and evening hours. * WAVES/SEAS...Steep seas will rapidly build today and tonight, then peak Friday at 11 to 19 feet across the Straits of Florida and deep waters of the southeastern Gulf of Mexico, 5 to 8 feet across Hawk Channel inside the reef, and 4 to 8 feet across the Gulf waters inside five fathoms.
