.Drier air and increasing winds will create higher fire danger
today for the south coast of Puerto Rico.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM AST
THIS EVENING FOR WINDS AND HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 014 
AND 027...

The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 8 AM this morning to 6 PM AST
this evening. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 014 and 027.

* WIND...15 TO 25 MPH with local gusts to 40 mph possible.

* HUMIDITY...30 to 45 percent for several hours early afternoon.

* THUNDERSTORMS...none.

* HIGHEST THREAT...is located around Guanica and Camp santiago.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
