The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Macon County in west central Georgia...
Western Dooly County in central Georgia...
Southwestern Houston County in central Georgia...
* Until 1245 AM EDT Saturday.
* At 641 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three and a half inches
of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Trees can down more easily with wet soils also.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Unadilla, Byromville, Lilly, Dooling, Drayton, Flint River Wma,
Elko, Grove Park and Henderson.
Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the
warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

It has been several hours since the heavy rain has moved out of the
area and rapidly rising water from Flash Flooding is no longer
expected to pose a threat. However, creeks and streams are still
likely to be running high, and some roads may still have some
ponding of water in low areas, please continue to heed any remaining
road closures.
