  Southeastern Benton County in east central Iowa...  Southwestern 
  Linn County in east central Iowa... Extreme northeastern 
  Iowa County in east central Iowa...

* Until 600 PM CDT.
    
* At 511 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a 
  tornado was located 5 miles south Walford, or 12 miles southwest 
  of Cedar Rapids, moving north at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

north at 30 mph.

CENTRAL LINN COUNTY...
    
At 540 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Palo, or 7 miles northwest of Cedar Rapids, moving 
north at 40 mph.  Thus the storm has remained northwest of the 
center of Cedar Rapids.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
west central Linn County, including the following locations...
Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area and Morgan Creek Park.

This includes Interstate 380 between mile markers 26 and 30.
