The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Pratt County in south central Kansas...
* Until 600 AM CDT.
* At 306 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two and a half inches of
rain have already fallen over much of Pratt County. Flash flooding
is expected to begin shortly or is already occurring.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pratt, Iuka, Preston, Sawyer, Cullison, Coats and Cairo.
Additional rainfall amounts of an inch or more are possible in the
warned area through 600 AM.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 AM CDT FOR
PRATT COUNTY...
At 441 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms were continuing
across the warned area. Radar estimated that three to four inches of
rain have already fallen. Flooding has been reported by the Pratt
Law Enforcement at the park in Pratt.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pratt, Iuka, Preston, Sawyer, Cullison, Coats and Cairo.
Additional rainfall amounts of up to one half of an inch are
possible in the warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
