* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Aroostook County in northern Maine...

* Until 730 AM EDT.

* At 643 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Allagash,
  moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect 
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Fort Kent, Madawaska, Eagle Lake, Allagash, Deboullie Mountain,
  Washburn, Woodland, Frenchville, New Canada, Allagash Township,
  Cross Lake, Madawaska Lake, Dickey, New Sweden, Wallagrass, Grand
  Isle, Perham, Wade, Stockholm and Winterville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay
away from windows.

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. This storm may cause serious injury and significant
property damage.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.

At 706 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near New Canada, or
7 miles south of Fort Kent, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
