...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN CATTARAUGUS AND
SOUTHWESTERN ERIE COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. However heavy rain is
still possible with this thunderstorm.
According to radar estimates, the nearly stationary storm has
already produced an inch and a half of rain in less than an hours
time. Additional rainfall from this storm though should be less than
a half inch. All of this rain will produce significant ponding on
roadways and could produce some poor drainage flooding.
