* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Allegany County in western New York...
* Until 1015 PM EDT.
* At 707 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen in the Cryder Creek basin. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Whitesville and Paynesville.
Additional rainfall amounts of a half to one inch is possible in
this warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

SOUTHEASTERN ALLEGANY COUNTY...
At 845 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already
fallen over portions of southwest Steuben and northern Potter
counties. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Whitesville and Paynesville.
Additional rainfall amounts of a half to one inch will be possible
in the warned area from storms that will pass over the area through
10 PM EDT.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

dangers of flooding.
