The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Cameron County in Deep South Texas...
  Central Willacy County in Deep South Texas...

* Until 615 PM CDT.

* At 415 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. An estimated 1 to 2 inches of 
  rain have fallen on top of 3 to 6 inches that already fell 
  earlier today. Flash flooding is expected to begin very shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Brownsville, Harlingen, San Benito, Los Fresnos, Rancho Viejo, Rio 
  Hondo, Arroyo City, Olmito, Port Mansfield, Southmost and La 
  Paloma.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the 
warned area if thunderstorms continue to train over the same area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM CDT FOR
CENTRAL CAMERON AND CENTRAL WILLACY COUNTIES...

At 536 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding in the 
Los Fresnos area due to torrential rainfall. Flash flooding is 
already occurring with several boat and high water vehicle rescues 
ongoing.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Interstate 69 E, Los Fresnos, Rancho Viejo, Rio Hondo, Arroyo City, 
Southmost, Olmito, Port Mansfield, Cameron Park, Laureles and 
Brownsville.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the 
warned area and will lead to additional flash flooding.

deaths occur in vehicles.
