The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a High Wind Warning, which is in effect from 10 AM Wednesday to 6 AM AKDT Thursday. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect. * LOCATION...Valdez and Thompson Pass. * WIND...Northeast winds of 35 to 55 mph with gusts to 80 mph expected through Thompson Pass and out of northerly gaps and canyons in Valdez. * TIMING...Winds will increase early Wednesday morning and continue through Thursday morning.
