* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 630 PM MST

* At 334 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm 
  producing very heavy rain across the Tucson Metro area. Flash 
  flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Flowing Wells, Drexel-Alvernon, Casas
  Adobes, Drexel Heights, Tanque Verde, Tortolita, Tucson Estates,
  South Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Catalina Foothills,
  Sabino Canyon and Seven Falls.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM MST FOR
NORTHEASTERN PIMA COUNTY...

At 456 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
0.50 to over 1 inch of rain had fallen across parts of the Tucson 
Metro since 330 PM MST. Several road closures have been reported and 
flash flooding is expected to continue.

Normally dry washes and low water crossings may be inundated in the
following locations...
Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Flowing Wells, Drexel-Alvernon, Casas
Adobes, Drexel Heights, Tanque Verde, Tortolita, Tucson Estates,
South Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Catalina Foothills,
Sabino Canyon and Seven Falls.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of washes
and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well
as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
