The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 400 PM MST

* At 236 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the Catalina Mountains, 
  including the Burro Wildfire area. Rain amounts in excess of 0.50 
  inches have occurred over the last 30 minutes, and flash flooding 
  is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Mount Lemmon/Summerhaven.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry washes is likely. The heavy rains will
likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM MST FOR
NORTHEASTERN PIMA COUNTY...

At 316 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated the thunderstorm over the 
Catalina mountains is decaying, however automated rain gauges show 
that heavy had occurred over parts of the Burro Fire burn scar. 
Rainfall amounts ranged from around 0.40 inches to 1.50 inches in 
just over an hour over and around the fire area.  

This excessive rainfall over the burn scar may result in some debris 
flows depending on how severe the fire burned and exactly where the 
heavy rain fell.  Debris flows can consist of rock, mud, vegetation 
and other loose materials.

Normally dry washes and low water crossings may be inundated in the
following locations...
Mount Lemmon, especially on the east side and Summerhaven.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry washes is likely. The heavy rains 
will likely trigger rockslides across the Mt Lemmon highway, 
mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially in and 
around these areas.
