  Northern Perry County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 200 PM EDT

* At 1101 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash
  flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  New Lexington, Somerset, Perry State Forest, Thornport, Harbor
  Hills, Crooksville, Thornville and Glenford.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 PM EDT FOR
NORTHERN PERRY COUNTY...

At 1201 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in 
from Thornville to Glenford and in Hopewell Township on Route 204 
and Route 668 with Jonathan Creek out of its banks.  Up to three 
inches of rain has already fallen and training storms containing 
heavy rain continue to push into the area. Another 2 inches of rain 
is possible and flash flooding is expected to become more 
widespread.  

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New Lexington, Somerset, Perry State Forest, Thornport, Harbor Hills,
Crooksville, Thornville and Glenford.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

* At 112 PM EDT, local law enforcement officials reported flash 
  flooding was occurring in multiple locations across Northern Perry 
  County. Up to three inches of rain has already fallen and training 
  storms with heavy rain continue to push into the area. Another one 
  to two inches of rain is likely.  Jonathan Creek and Honey Creek 
  are both over their banks and the same is likely occurring with a 
  number of smaller streams in the area.  

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  New Lexington, Somerset, Perry State Forest, Thornport, Harbor
  Hills, Crooksville, Thornville and Glenford.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM EDT FOR
NORTHERN PERRY COUNTY...

At 243 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding is 
occurring in multiple locations across Northern Perry County. Up to 
four inches of rain has fallen, but the heaviest rain has now push 
south of the area. Jonathan Creek and Honey Creek are both over 
their banks and the same is likely occurring with a number of 
smaller streams in the area.  Although rain is coming to an end, 
streams will continue to rise over the next couple hours due to 
surface water runoff. 

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New Lexington, Somerset, Perry State Forest, Thornport, Harbor Hills,
Crooksville, Thornville and Glenford.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
