The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a High Wind Warning, which is in effect until noon MST Saturday. * LOCATION...Pikes Peak and the northern Sangre De Cristo mountains above 11000 feet...the Wet mountains above 10000 feet...and the southern Sangre De Cristo mountains above 7500 feet. * CAUSE AND TIMING...An upper level jet stream will spread strong winds into the mountain Peaks by early this evening which will spread down into the adjacent east facing slopes of the southern Sangre De Cristo mountains towards Saturday morning. * WIND...West winds 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 80 mph. * IMPACT...Tree damage and power outages will be possible.
