The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Fremont County in central Colorado...
  Northwestern Custer County in southeastern Colorado...
  Northeastern Saguache County in central Colorado...

* Until 815 PM MDT

* At 621 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  moderate to locally heavy rain moving into the Texas Creek area. 
  The rain is moving southwest at 10 mph.  Pueblo Doppler Radar 
  estimated up to one inch of rain has already fallen on the 
  southern and western portions of the Hayden Creek Burn scar. Flash 
  flooding is expected to continue.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Hayden Pass Burn Scar, and Coaldale.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow 
moving through the Hayden Creek, South Prong Creek, Wolf Creek, 
Cottonwood Creek, and Little Cottonwood Creek. The debris flow can 
consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

Additional rainfall amounts up to 1/4 inch are possible in the 
warned area.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.
