Southeastern Las Animas County in southeastern Colorado...
* Until 930 PM MDT
* At 636 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Open country south of Kim.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM MDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN LAS ANIMAS COUNTY...
At 717 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated that the thunderstorms that
produced heavy rain across the warned area have weakened
considerably. Pueblo doppler radar estimated around two inches of
rain has fallen south of highway 160, with the heaviest centered
from 16 miles west southwest of Kim to 9 miles south of Kim. Flash
flooding in this area will continue until the water has a chance to
recede.

SOUTHEASTERN LAS ANIMAS COUNTY...
At 820 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated the heavier rain has
ended across the warned area. However brief light to moderate rain
showers will continue across the area through 930 PM. Pueblo
doppler radar estimated up to 2 and a half inches of rain has fallen
along an area extending from 10 miles northeast of Branson to 10
miles south of Kim. Flash flooding is expected to continue in
crees and dry washes until the water has a chance to recede.

Open country south of Highway 160 in southeast La Animas County.
