The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to 3 PM MDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS/TIMING...Strong winds will likely begin around 9 pm tonight and taper off around 3pm tomorrow afternoon. Areas of blowing dust are possible * WINDS...Sustained winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * LOCATIONS...Eastern Magic Valley, Upper and Lower Snake Plain including the cities of Burley, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Rexburg. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A wind advisory means that winds of 30 mph are expected. Gusts over 45 mph are possible. The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a High Wind Watch, which is in effect from this evening through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS/TIMING...Very strong winds are likely from 9 PM tonight through 9 AM tomorrow morning, tapering off somewhat thereafter. Winds will be strong enough to snap weak branches. High profile vehicles will be difficult to control on highways. Blowing dust may reduce visibility briefly. * WINDS...Sustained winds of 40 to 50 mph with gusts 55 to 60 mph possible. * LOCATIONS...South Central Highlands including Malad, Oakley and Rockland.
