...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON MDT
WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a High Wind
Warning, which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to noon MDT
Wednesday. The Wind Advisory is no longer in effect. 

* IMPACTS/TIMING...Strong winds will likely begin around 9 pm
  tonight and taper off Tuesday morning. The strongest will occur
  between 9pm and sunrise. Areas of blowing dust are expected due
  to recent field plowing. Minor wind damage and sporadic power 
  outages are also possible. 
 
* WINDS...Sustained winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up 60 mph. 
  Locally higher winds are possible as the front passes through.

* LOCATIONS...Burley, Rupert, Shoshone, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, 
  Rexburg, Craters of the Moon and the INL Complex. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A high wind warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

Warning, which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to noon MDT
Wednesday. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect. 

* IMPACTS/TIMING...Strong winds will likely begin around 9 pm
  tonight and taper off Tuesday morning. The strongest will occur
  between 9pm and sunrise. Areas of blowing dust are expected due
  to recent field plowing. Minor wind damage and sporadic power 
  outages are also possible. 

* WINDS...Sustained winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts to 60 mph. 
  Locally higher winds are possible when the front passes through 
  and also along I-84 from Yale to the Utah border.
 
* LOCATIONS...Malta, City of Rocks, Oakley and Rockland.

A high wind warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts

...HIGH WIND WARNING IS CANCELLED...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until noon MDT today. The High Wind
Warning has been cancelled. 

* IMPACTS/TIMING...Strong, gusty west winds will continue through
  this morning, causing difficult travel, particularly for drivers
  of high profile vehicles on north-south routes. Reduce driving
  speeds. 

* WINDS...Sustained winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up 50 mph. 
  Locally higher winds are possible as the front passes through. 

* LOCATIONS...Interstate 84 from Burley to the Utah border,
  Burley, Rupert, Shoshone, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Rexburg,
  Craters of the Moon and the INL Complex. Winds are expected to
  be strongest over Cassia County, particularly Interstate 84 
  from Burley to the Utah border.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A wind advisory means that winds of 30 mph are expected. Gusts
over 45 mph are possible. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
