...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EST
FOR NORTHWESTERN CECIL...BERKS AND WESTERN CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 345 PM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Myerstown to Denver to near Holtwood to near Rock
Springs, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated. 

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees. 

These severe storms will be near...
  Womelsdorf, Wernersville and Newmanstown around 350 PM EST. 
  Sinking Spring and Robesonia around 355 PM EST. 
  Reading, Wyomissing, Oxford, Bernville, Spring Ridge, Mount Vernon 
  and Fairview Hgts around 400 PM EST. 
  Laureldale, Leesport and Homeville around 405 PM EST. 
  Shoemakersville and Cochranville around 410 PM EST. 
  Fleetwood, Parkesburg, Honey Brook and Lyons around 415 PM EST. 
  Coatesville and Kutztown around 420 PM EST. 
  Elverson and New Morgan around 425 PM EST. 

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Wyomissing Hills, West Lawn, Boyertown, West Reading, South
Coatesville, Modena, Lorane, Kenhorst, Mount Penn and South
Pottstown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Mount Holly NJ .

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant
property damage.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN CECIL...BERKS AND
WESTERN CHESTER COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 430 PM EST...
    
The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the area.
Therefore the warning will be allowed to expire.  However gusty winds
are still possible with these thunderstorms.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 800 PM EST for
northeastern Maryland...and eastern and southeastern Pennsylvania.
