The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Brevard County in Florida...

* Until 230 AM EDT

* At 1124 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a large area of rain 
  covering Brevard county and the adjacent Atlantic waters. 
  Widespread rainfall amounts in the 6 to 10 inch range have 
  occurred today, with isolated near 12 inches. Flooded roads and 
  homes have also been reported from Merritt Island into the 
  Melbourne area. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches will 
  aggravate ongoing flooding in some areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Palm Bay, Melbourne, Titusville, Rockledge and Sebastian. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Be 
especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
Residents living along streams, creeks and poorly drained urban 
areas should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
