The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Midland County in western Texas...

* Until 1130 PM CDT

* At 828 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. One to two inches of rain have 
  already fallen over portions of the city of Midland. Flash 
  flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Midland, Midland International Air and Space Port, Cotton Flat, 
  Mission Dorado, Warfield and Midland Airpark.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN MIDLAND COUNTY...

At 839 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported a vehicle stalled in 
high water at the intersection of Midland Drive and Seminole Drive. 
At 849 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported a vehicle stalled in 
high water at the intersection of Wadley Drive and Midkiff Road. 

Although the heavy rainfall has moved east of the city of Midland, 
runoff from one to two inches of rain since 730 PM CDT will likely 
result in additional flash flooding. 

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Midland, Midland International Air and Space Port, Cotton Flat, 
Mission Dorado, Warfield and Midland Airpark.
