The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Ralls County in northeastern Missouri...
Monroe County in northeastern Missouri...
Northern Pike County in northeastern Missouri...
* Until 830 AM CDT Thursday.
* At 1229 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Radar estimates that 2 to
locally 5 inches of rain has already fallen this evening across
portions of the area. Several roads in Ralls County were covered
with water. Two to three inches of additional rainfall is possible
through 400 am. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hannibal, Bowling Green, Louisiana, Monroe City, Paris, Santa Fe,
New London, Perry, Madison, Center, Clarksville, Frankford,
Rensselaer, Curryville, Spaulding, Tarrants, Spencerburg, Woodlawn,
Granville and Holliday.
This also includes Union Covered Bridge Historic Site and Mark Twain
Lake Recreational Area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying

RALLS...MONROE AND NORTHERN PIKE COUNTIES IN NORTHEASTERN MISSOURI...
At 429 AM CDT, the latest reports from local law enforcement
indicated a few roads remained flooded due to heavy rainfall last
night and early this morning. Flooding was also occuring on Spencer
Creek in Frankford. Radar estimates storm total rainfall of 2 to 5
inches.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hannibal, Bowling Green, Louisiana, Monroe City, Paris, Santa Fe, New
London, Perry, Madison, Center, Clarksville, Frankford, Rensselaer,
Curryville, Spaulding, Tarrants, Spencerburg, Woodlawn, Granville and
