* Until 1230 AM CDT Thursday.
* At 627 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Palmyra, Shelbina, Warren, Shelbyville, Emden, Philadelphia and
Bethel.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM CDT FOR
MARION AND SHELBY COUNTIES...
At 946 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain due to a
thunderstorm over Shelby and Marion counties. Water was reported
over the roadway at Highway 15, 3 miles north of Shelbina. Three to
four inches of rainfall has already fallen and flash flooding is
ongoing.
Some locations that will experience flooding include... Palmyra,
Shelbina, Warren, Shelbyville, Emden, Philadelphia and Bethel.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
