...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 AM CDT FOR EAST
CENTRAL ST. TAMMANY PARISH IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND WEST CENTRAL
HANCOCK COUNTIES...
    
At 748 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 
was located near the Pearl River west of Stennis Space Center, or 9 
miles northeast of Slidell, moving northwest at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely. 

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
east central St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana and west
central Hancock Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a 
sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile 
home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and 
protect yourself from flying debris.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR EAST CENTRAL ST. TAMMANY PARISH IN
SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND WEST CENTRAL HANCOCK COUNTIES HAS
EXPIRED...
                
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore the warning has been allowed to expire.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for southeastern
Louisiana...and southern Mississippi.

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
New Orleans.
