NORTHERN CAMERON...JEFFERSON DAVIS...SOUTHERN BEAUREGARD AND
CALCASIEU PARISHES...SOUTHWESTERN NEWTON AND EASTERN ORANGE
COUNTIES...

At 321 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. 3 to 6 inches of rain have fallen 
across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lake Charles, Sulphur, Orange, Jennings, Westlake, West Orange,
Welsh, Vinton, Iowa, Lake Arthur, Elton, Fenton, Grand Lake,
Deweyville, Hayes, Moss Bluff, De Quincy, Ragley, Lacassine National
Wildlife Refuge and Lake Charles Regional Airport.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected with 3 to 
6 inches possible in the warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
