The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Western Arecibo Municipality in Puerto Rico...

* Until 900 PM AST

* At 559 PM AST, USGS river sensor indicated Rio Tanama at Charco 
  Hondo and near Utuado above flood stage. Flash flooding is 
  occurring in the roads along the river.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Arecibo, Bajadero, Calle Magallanes, Sector La Puntilla, Parcelas 
  Rodriquez Olmo, Barrio Abra San Francisco, Barrio Rio Arriba

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR WESTERN ARECIBO MUNICIPALITY HAS
EXPIRED...

The heavy rain has ended across the warning area. The flash flooding 
threat has diminished, but a river flooding threat continues. The 
river levels are above flood stage, but are expected to recede in 
the coming hours. The Flash Flood warning has been replaced with an 
Areal Flod Warning.
