* At 325 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to one inch to one and a
half inches of rain has already fallen in around thirty minutes.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jackson and Clinton.
Additional rainfall amounts of two to four inches are possible in
the warned area.

EAST CENTRAL HINDS COUNTY...
At 341 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to two and a half inches of rain has
already fallen in west Jackson in around thirty to forty five
minutes. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jackson and Clinton.
Additional rainfall amounts of two to four inches are possible in
the warned area.

At 409 PM CDT, the public reported flash flooding occurring in along
Interstate 55 near St. Dominics where one to two feet was covering
the interstate and road was blocked. Also flooding was occurring
near Northside Drive and Meadowbrook Road. Also flash flooding was
reported occurring near Westwood Apartments at Robinson Road and
also on Terry Road.
Up to nearly two and three quarters to nearly three inches of rain
have already fallen in only around an hour, especially over west
Jackson and near Interstate 220. Flash flooding is already occurring.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jackson and Clinton.

At 550 PM CDT, the public reported flash flooding occurring in along
Interstate 55 near St. Dominics where earlier one to two feet was
covering the interstate and road was blocked. Also flooding was
occurring near Northside Drive and Meadowbrook Road. Also flash
flooding was reported occurring near Westwood Apartments at Robinson
Road and also on Terry Road. A car was also reported submerged in
floodwaters under the Monument Street Bridge in Jackson. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
Up to three inches of rain fell in only around an hour, especially
over west Jackson and near Interstate 220. Flash flooding is already
occurring.
