The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana  has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Allen County in northeastern Indiana...

* Until 1115 AM EDT

* At 808 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to
  three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is 
  expected to begin shortly. An additional one to three more inches 
  is expected.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Fort Wayne, New Haven, Nine Mile, Rolling Hills, Wallen and Hessen
  Cassel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana  has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Allen County in northeastern Indiana...

* Until 115 PM EDT

* At 947 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  three and four and one half inches of rain have fallen since 730 
  AM. 

* Flash flooding is becoming more widespread especially on the west 
  and north sides of Fort Wayne from the Arcola area to Wallen. 
  Vehicles have been abandoned. The Glenbrook Mall has been 
  evacuated and some buildings on the Ivy Tech campus are flooded.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to one and a half inches is 
expected bringing the highest total rainfall amounts over 5 inches. 


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 PM EDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN ALLEN COUNTY...

At 1202 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms had weakened over the area, but had produced 
widespread rainfall amounts between 3 and 5 inches. Flash flooding 
is underway. 

Additional rainfall amounts around an inch are possible in the 
warned area. The flood risk is expected to continue this afternoon. 
As the flash flood threat diminishes, an areal flood warning
will likely be issued.
