Southwestern Wilson County in southeastern Kansas...
* Until 930 AM CDT Sunday
* At 327 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated nearly stationary
thunderstorms producing torrential rainfall across the warned
area. Radar estimated that 3 to 5 inches of rain has already
fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN WILSON COUNTY...
At 551 AM CDT, law enforcement reported flash flooding along East
Rainbow Creek about 2 miles southwest of Fredonia. The flooding is
in response to nearly stationary thunderstorms with torrential
rainfall overnight in southwestern Wilson County. Radar estimated 4
to 6 inches of rainfall overnight in the warned area, and excessive
runoff is likely to continue this morning.
Some locations that will experience flooding include... Buxton and
Lafontaine.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
