* At 243 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across portions of North Central and Northwestern
Alabama. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen in a short
period of time, with an additional half an inch to an inch of rain
possible through 315 PM CDT. This warning includes areas East of
the original Flash Flood Warning issues earlier, as well as areas
to the South and to the East into portions of Limestone and
Lawrence Counties.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Decatur, Athens, Russellville, Tuscumbia, Moulton, Trinity,
Ardmore, Town Creek, Littleville and Leighton.

LIMESTONE...SOUTHEASTERN COLBERT...FRANKLIN...NORTHWESTERN MORGAN AND
LAWRENCE COUNTIES...
At 408 PM CDT, doppler radar precipitation estimates indicate that 2
to locally 3 inches of rain fell this afternoon across portions of
northwest and north central Alabama. The heavy rainfall atop
saturated soils has resulted in localized flash flooding. The
rainfall has subsided and the flooding should slowly diminish as we
go into the late afternoon hours.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Decatur, Athens, Russellville, Tuscumbia, Moulton, Trinity, Ardmore,
Town Creek, Littleville and Leighton.
