* Until 715 PM CDT Friday
* At 114 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across Florence, Muscle Shoals, and surrounding areas
in Northwestern Alabama. Up to two inches of rain have already
fallen, and an additional half inch to an inch of rainfall is
possible over the next half hour to an hour. Flash flooding is
already ongoing in Muscle Shoals, and is expected to begin shortly
elsewhere.

COUNTIES...
At 207 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across portions of Northwestern Alabama. Up to two inches of
rain have already fallen, with an additional half inch of rain
through 230 PM CDT. Flash flooding already ongoing in Muscle Shoals,
with several roadways and parking lots of businesses under a foot or
two of water. Numerous cars are affected in these areas.
Outside of these locations, small creeks are overflowing their banks
and are impacting other streets and highways. Please use caution if
traveling in these locations through 715 PM CDT this evening!
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Rogersville, Killen,
Lexington, St. Florian, Underwood-Petersville and Anderson.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small

COUNTIES...
At 404 PM CDT, Doppler radar precipitation estimates indicate that 2
to locally 3 inches of rain fell this afternoon across portions of
northwest Alabama. The heavy rainfall atop saturate soils has
resulted in flash flooding. Local emergency officials report
flooding ongoing in Muscle Shoals, with several roadways and parking
lots of businesses under a foot or two of water. Numerous cars are
affected in these areas with at least rescue occurring in that area.
The rainfall has subsided and the flooding should slowly diminish as
we go into the late afternoon hours.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Rogersville, Killen,
Lexington, St. Florian, Underwood-Petersville and Anderson.
