The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Whiteside County in northwestern Illinois...

* Until 515 PM CST
    
* At 446 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Coleta, or 7 miles north of Sterling, moving east
  at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northeastern Whiteside County, including the following locations:
  Penrose.
