The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northern Des Moines County in southeastern Iowa...

* Until 445 PM CDT
    
* At 355 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Mediapolis, or 11 miles northwest of Oquawka, 
  moving east at 25 mph.  Trained spotters have reported a rotating 
  wall cloud near Meadiapolis.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northern Des Moines County, including the following locations:
  Northfield, Kossuth and 4th Pumping Station Campground.

was located near Oakville, or 7 miles northwest of Oquawka, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.
