* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Dubuque County in northeastern Iowa...

* Until 500 AM CDT

* At 1101 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have 
  already fallen in the northern portions of the county. Flash 
  flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Dubuque, Asbury, Dyersville, New Vienna, Holy Cross, Luxemburg,
  Rickardsville, Sherrill, Centralia, Sageville, Balltown, Bankston,
  Durango, Graf, Bankston Park, Rockdale, Cottage Hill, New Wine
  Park, Waupeton and Lattnerville.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are possible in the 
warned area over the next several hours.

NORTHWESTERN DUBUQUE COUNTY...

At 105 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain continues across the warned area. Up to five inches of rain has 
already fallen with heavy rain continuing. Local law enforcement is 
reporting flash flooding is occurring over several portions of the 
warned area and particularly in the greater area of the Dubuque 
metro area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dubuque, Asbury, Dyersville, New Vienna, Holy Cross, Luxemburg,
Rickardsville, Sherrill, Centralia, Sageville, Balltown, Bankston,
Durango, Graf, Bankston Park, Rockdale, Cottage Hill, New Wine Park,
Waupeton and Lattnerville.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area.  Significant flash flooding is possible over the next 
several hours.

Durango, Graf, Bankston Park, Rockdale, Cottage Hill, New Wine Park,
Waupeton and Lattnerville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
