* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Scott County in west central Kansas...

* Until 430 PM CDT

* At 324 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 3 miles northwest
  of Scott City, moving southeast at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated. 

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. 

* Locations impacted include...
  Scott City, Grigston, Shallow Water and The Tractor Elevator. 

Ping pong ball size hail was reported 6 miles northwest of
Scott City at 321pm.

This warning replaces the previous severe thunderstorm warning
for Scott County. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a dangerous storm. Prepare immediately for large destructive
hail capable of producing significant damage. People outside should
move to shelter inside a strong building,  and stay away from
windows.

City, moving southeast at 15 mph.
