  East central Columbia County in east central Georgia...
  North central Richmond County in east central Georgia...
  Edgefield County in central South Carolina...
  Northwestern Aiken County in central South Carolina...
  Saluda County in central South Carolina...
  Southeastern McCormick County in central South Carolina...

* Until 345 PM EDT

* At 239 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 9 miles south of Ninety Six Historic Site to near
  Martinez, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated. 

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 
           roofs, and outbuildings. 

* Locations impacted include...
  North Augusta, Evans, Augusta, Martinez, Belvedere, Clearwater,
  Edgefield, Saluda, Johnston, Ridge Spring, Monetta, Trenton, Ward,
  Murphys Estates and Clarks Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not
immediately likely, if one is spotted, act quickly and move to a
place of safety inside a sturdy structure such as a basement or small
interior room.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 307 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles east of Saluda to Aiken, moving east at 40
mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated. 

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 
         roofs, and outbuildings. 

Locations impacted include...
