heavy rain across the warned area. Over an inch of rain has
already fallen, and another one to two inches of rain is likely.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
West Seneca, Lackawanna, Hamburg, Geneseo, East Aurora, Warsaw,
Varysburg, Mount Morris and Dansville.

At 1113 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already
fallen with another inch of rain possible through 1 PM. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
West Seneca, Lackawanna, Hamburg, warsaw, Varysburg,Geneseo, East
Aurora and Dansville.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 390 between exits 5 and 7.
Interstate 90 between exits 57 and 54.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM EDT FOR
WYOMING...SOUTHEASTERN ERIE AND CENTRAL LIVINGSTON COUNTIES...
At 1220 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heaviest rain and
thunderstorm activity has pushed east of the region. Meanwhile, the
remaining steady rain will end from west to east between 12:30 and 2
pm. This will result in up to another inch of rain over Livingston
and eastern Wyoming County with lesser amounts over southern Erie
County and western Wyoming County. Over three inches of rain has
already fallen over some areas. Flash flooding is occurring in many
areas with several road closures due to high water, debris and wash
outs.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cheektowaga, West Seneca, Lackawanna, Hamburg, Geneseo, Attica,
Warsaw, Mount Morris, East Aurora and Dansville.
