rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already 
fallen, and there is the likelihood of at least another inch of rain 
through 12:30 this afternoon. Flash flooding is expected to begin 
shortly.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Buffalo, Rochester, Greece, Cheektowaga, Irondequoit, Niagara Falls,
West Seneca, Albion, Brockport and North Tonawanda.

through the region. Up to three inches of rain has already fallen 
with up to an additional inch of rain possible between 12 noon and 1 
PM. Flash flooding is occurring in many areas with multiple roads 
closed and some water rescues also being reported.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Buffalo, Brockport, Greece, Cheektowaga, Irondequoit, Niagara Falls, 
West Seneca, Alden and North Tonawanda.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 390 between exits 8 and 12.
 Interstate 90 between exits 53 and 46.

At 1230 PM EDT, National Weather Service doppler radars show that 
the steadiest, heaviest rains and the associated thunderstorms have 
pushed to the east of the region. The rain has already tapered off 
to the west of Batavia and this trend will continue to push east 
across the Lower Genesee Valley through 2 PM. 

Even though the heaviest rain has ended in most areas, flooding will 
continue. This will especially be the case in urban areas where 
viaducts and areas of poor drainage will be flooded for several 
hours. 

Through 12 noon...many areas picked up nearly three inches of rain.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Buffalo, Rochester, Greece, Cheektowaga, Irondequoit, Niagara Falls,
West Seneca and North Tonawanda.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 390 between exits 8 and 12.
 Interstate 90 between exits 53 and 46.
